North Barossa Vitners is the result of collaboration between Adrian Hoffman, John Hughes, Nathan Burley and Chris Ringlang. The Shiraz grapes sourced from North Barossa Valley are gently destemmed, vinified in small individual batches, and then aged in newly seasoned French Oak for 3 years. It is believed that the 2010 batch would develop until 2020.
This wine has a deep, inky, blood red with purple hues. It is a classic full-bodied Barossa Shiraz with jammy and fruit forward flavours of blackberries, blueberries, dark ripe forest berries and spicy flavours of black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg and balsamic. It is finally rounded off with chocolate and caramel nuances. The body of the wines is powered by it alcohol strength as well as its long lingering finish. Decant for 1 hour before serving. Not a wine for an amateur.
Strong hard Cheeses like Manchego, Parmiagiano. Barbequed baby Lamb Racks with Cherry Tomatoes.
