The Domaine Michel Picard is a family estate of 35 hectares, which also owns four estates in Burgundy. The family owns the Château de Chassagne - Montrachet, a beautiful burgundy castle with cellars dating back to the 11th and 14th centuries. Spurred on by Francine Picard in 1951, the Gevrey-Chambertin vineyard is grown biodynamicaly (organic) since 2010.
The firm powerful and enveloping bouquet of the Gevrey-Chambertin Michel Picard 2011 assumes a brilliant wafting perfume and an intense plumy richness. With a brillant ruby red color and a direct attack, the warm earthy aromas balance wonderfully the pepper and toasted notes. Gorgeous wine!
