wanderwine is the byproduct of Alexis Lhoyer and Rishi Sood’s love for travel, discovery and, of course, a good bottle of wine to discuss it all over.
Having met at INSEAD Business School, Alexis and Rishi embraced the institute’s spirit of adventure and took the opportunity to go explore the world’s most exotic wine destinations; like the vibrant wine bars of Tokyo, the remote Sherry wineries in Spain’s ancient Andalucia countryside and the beautiful Singaraja vineyards in Bali. It was during one such visit to Paris that the idea of wanderwine truly took seed.
The name itself reflects a celebration of wanderlust; of discovery and exploration – key tenets of the wanderwine model. They wanted to share a product they were the most passionate about in a way that created a sense of excitement and enjoyment in others.
The company was established with a clear mission: to make good wine more accessible in Singapore through the knowledge and guidance of expert sommeliers who select and curate wanderwine’s collection.
The journey still belongs to the customer; wanderwine is there to lend them a helping hand to find their perfect bottle of wine.
